Australia won the first game in the three-match series, they decided to let Jake Fraser-McGurk play for the first time in the second ODI. Jake’s debut was quite interesting. He faced Alzarri Joseph’s bowling, and in one over, he got out, hit a four, and even a six!

The showdown between Joseph and Jake continued in the third ODI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. The West Indies were asked to bat first, but they struggled and only managed to score 86 runs. Xavier Bartlett, Lance Morris, and Adam Zampa from Australia’s team did a fantastic job with the ball. Except for Alick Athanaze, who scored 32 runs, none of the West Indies players could make it to double digits.

Jake was sent to open the batting for Australia, and he went after Alzarri Joseph in the third over. He hit two fours in a row. But then, Joseph bowled a really fast bouncer, and Jake missed it. Like in a typical cricket match, there were some words exchanged between them.

Next, Jake faced Matthew Forde’s bowling. He hit a six and a four in consecutive deliveries and then followed up with two more sixes in the same over.

Jake continued to dominate Joseph’s bowling in the next over, hitting the first two balls for fours. But Joseph got the better of him eventually, and Jake was caught out. Jake Fraser-McGurk scored 41 runs off just 18 balls.

Oshane Thomas later dismissed Aaron Hardie, but Australia won the match easily with just two wickets down and 6.5 overs to spare. They won the series 3-0, and the whole match lasted only 31 overs.

In the two ODIs, Jake Fraser-McGurk made a big impact, hitting six fours and four sixes in just 23 balls. His strike rate was an impressive 222!
