The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is here, and it’s bringing big cricket to India! From February 23rd to March 17th, five teams are playing 22 exciting T20 matches in two big stadiums: the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Fans are cheering loud, flags are waving, and the players are hitting big sixes and taking important wickets!

Five Teams, One Champion:

There are five teams fighting for the WPL trophy:

• Mumbai Indians Women: They won last year and are back to defend their title. They hit the ball hard and bowl really well.
• Delhi Capitals Women: This team is strong all around. They have experienced players and young stars who are learning fast.
• Royal Challengers Bangalore Women: This team is famous for their big hitters who score lots of runs quickly. Their fans are very loud and support them all the time.
• Gujarat Giants Women: This is a new team, but they are hungry to win. They have a mix of young players and experienced players who can teach them a lot.
• UP Warriorz Women: Another new team, they have a good group of players who can surprise everyone!

Every game in the WPL cricket has been close and exciting. All the teams are playing good game of cricket, and the players are making their way to bat ,bowl and as well chase , hitting the ball far. It’s hard to know who will win each match! The teams play each other twice, so they have to be careful not to lose to the same team both times.
